Say hello to your Henna Artist

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Hi girlie! My name’s Fatmata (or “fats” for short). I’m a self-taught mobile henna artist based in South London, who travels across London and to nearby areas, such as Cheshunt, Romford, and Southall. I specialise in using Jagua gel, but I also use natural henna and Jagua henna to adorn your hands.

I started doing henna at just 9 years old. My passion stemmed from my childhood friend Maryan and her Mum. Maryan’s mum always did my henna at our primary school’s ‘International Day’. I loved the prettiness of her designs and their neatness. From there, I learnt how to draw flowers and common henna patterns, and as a little girl, I have always wanted to do my own bridal henna, especially as henna is a big thing in my country and culture (Sierra Leone and Guinea).

I picked up my very first henna cone with my friend, Isabella. I regularly practised henna designs on her. Eventually, I got the hang of it, and before I knew it, for the last 14 years, my hands have always been covered in henna designs. I started doing it for my family & friends throughout secondary school; then, I decided to turn my passion for henna into a service (whilst I was at university).

My Goal:

Empowering every girl/woman to feel beautiful & confident in themselves❤️.

To share the same excitement I get for adorning hands with henna.
